Our Story
Humble Beginnings
The Frederick Marsden Youth Centre was first established in 1929 to support disadvantaged youth when the land and now iconic main building was donated by successful businessman Frederick Marsden.
For nearly 100 years since its founding, the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre (FMYC) has been serving the needs of the residents of the Moreton Bay Region through various activities and services.
Where are we today?
At the present time the grounds of Frederick Marsden Youth Centre operate as a host to multiple not-for-profit organisations that serve the local community in various forms.
As we plan for the future, we endeavour to establish facilities to host a range of activities and organisations who work together to effect the local area with positive impact.
Community Involvement
After its years serving as home for boys, the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre became a popular camp and conference facility hosting countless schools, churches, youth groups and organisations until a pivotal change of direction was required due to the pandemic in 2020.
Alongside the camp and conference centre, an exciting activities and adventure program was born, bringing young people and families together for action packed outdoor fun. As a not-for-profit, all the funds raised through onsite activities and programs go back in to service the Moreton Bay community. The outdoor activities facilities are still installed, ready for future use.
